Grid-Connected Power Systems

Reduce your power bills with sustainable energy!

Solar Electric Technology offer grid-connected sustainable generation systems to suit both residential and commercial applications. Depending on the resources you have available to you, generation may include solar, wind, hydro or a combination of these systems. The energy generated is either used within the home or fed back into the grid. At present certain power companies will provide a one for one rate, which means they will credit you at the same rate you are purchasing your energy for.

Solar Electric Technology can design and size a system to suit your requirements, based on your energy consumption, budget and renewable generation resources available to you.

Grid-connected sustainable generation systems reduce or eliminate your energy costs, reduce your carbon footprint and add value to your home. The added value is usually calculated on the basis that $100 saved annually in energy costs equate to $1,500 added value to your home.

NOTE: An average energy user will likely spend over $25,000 on power in the next 10 years.

How do I know what size system I will require?

You can follow this link and fill in a form which can be submitted to us. Alternatively you can simply call or email us and we will work through the process with you.

How do I get a free quote?

Sustainable Generation Methods

Feature

Photovoltaic solar panels are the most commonly used method of renewable generation in New Zealand. Not all locations have adequate wind or hydro available, however most locations in NZ receive generous amounts of solar energy throughout the year.

Feature

If you are in an area with good average wind flow, a wind generator could be an effective method of generation, with the ability to generate up to 24 hours a day. The size and model of wind generator used would depend on your individual energy requirements, location and budget.

Feature

If you think that you might have a suitable stream to generate energy from, it may be well worth us investigating this a little further for you. Hydro systems generate energy 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are very cost effective to install. By taking a few simple measurements we can quickly establish the streams potential for energy generation.
